Ophidion \O*phid"i*on\, n.; pl. Ophidia. [L., fr. Gr. ? little snake, fr. 'o`fis a serpent.] (Zo["o]l.) The typical genus of ophidioid fishes. [Written also Ophidium.] See Illust. under Ophidioid.
