Nerve \Nerve\, v. t. [imp. & p. p. Nerved; p. pr. & vb. n.
   Nerving.]
   To give strength or vigor to; to supply with force; as, fear
   nerved his arm.
Nerved \Nerved\, a.
   1. Having nerves of a special character; as, weak-nerved.

   2. (Bot.) Having nerves, or simple and parallel ribs or
      veins. --Gray.
